Heirloom Varieties: Heirloom plants are domesticated versions of plants occurring in the wild. When man started cultivating his own food, he cleared a portion of the forest and developed heirloom varieties by manual pollination. The developed species were better-tasting and larger in size but had a lesser life-span when compared to the plants occurring in the wild

Hybrids: Eventually when civilizations developed and when man became greedier, he fell into the act of hybridizing plants. To enjoy the improvement in his desired parameter, two different varieties of the heirloom plants were chosen and the pollens were crossed. The resultant plant had earlier fruiting and increased size but the life-span, virility and taste diminished. The plants demanded care and support by artificial means even for their survival

G.M.O. Plants: With the further passage of time, when man started thinking against nature, he wanted to ensure the availability of crops throughout the year. He further wanted to increase the shelf life of the produce. He started combining the genes of creatures other than plants with the genes of plant species in the laboratories. The resultant creature with altered genes lacked self-sustainability and required manual care. They were not able to self-germinate and the seeds were less potent. They caused many health problems to the consumer

Seedlings: Nature created a seed to transfer the genetic data. The ultimate natural way to grow a plant is to raise it from its seed. The growing plant has all the ability to thrive by itself amongst the difficult of the situations. The rooting system, foliage and fruiting tenure and virility are very high when raised from the seed

Grafting: When raised from its seed, a plant can fruit or it can fail to fruit. It depends upon the gender. Unable to identify the gender, man started growing plants by grafting. Two different plants are combined together by placing the scion over the root stock of another. This technique has the disadvantage of providing the plants a lesser life-span as requirements of the growing plant are not completely met by the other plant’s rooting system

Gender Classification: Like there are Male, Female & Trans-Gender in animals, they do exist in plants. Female plants bear more fruits for multiplying offspring compared to Male & Trans-Gender plants

Planting Suggestion: Water and keep the plant under shade for 2 days after receiving the packed plant. Dig a pit 1ft. wide 1ft. long & 1.5 ft. deep. Plant the sapling & completely fill the pit with soil. Surround the sapling with a heap of soil encircling the stem for about 0.5 feet from the ground level so that the plant is firmly affixed to earth. Mulch the planted sapling with organic material for 1 ft. radius & 0.5 ft. height to help better moisture retention

HEIRLOOM PLANTS ARE VERY ENERGETIC, WITHSTAND DROUGHT, FRUIT BETTER & LIVE LONGER;
BUT TAKE A LITTLE LONGER TIME TO FRUIT COMPARED TO THE DEVELOPED VARIETIES
